won the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine, 1984, for the development of hybridoma technology for monoclonal antibody production. These antibodies have the particularity to enter tumor cells. This technique allows unlimited production of monoclonal antibodies with predetermined specificity. So open up new fields for theoretical and applied biomedical research and allows accurate diagnosis and better treatment of the disease.
